I disagree. Salvo code is too important. Capital ships using salvo pulse weapons will be crippled.

So why can't they just use standard firing until we get working salvo fire code. The standard firing code has been good enough for everything up to now. This is idiotic, anal, and typical of TBP.

IP, the point is that everything else is so damned good that it'd be a real pity to rush this and accept second best.

In a sense it would be a real betrayal of the thousands of hours work that the production team have put in.

Afterall, look at it this way:

Imagine the Battle of Helm's Deep with all the orcs using elven swords - yes it would still be a great battle, but still it wouldn't be right. It would look a little ... "Cheap" I guess, like Startrek: Generations used the same footage as Startrek VI: The Undiscovered Country for the destruction of a Bird of Prey.

I do agree that we shouldn't be to up-tight, but it's as bad to go te other way as well.

Sorry, rant over.

Because it would be a cheap alternative. And all missions made around these vessels which should have salvo firing guns needs to be rebalanced after salvo code is released.

It's more of hassle and unnecessary tampering in a long road if we release without salvo code.

For those of us who are not it is galling to be insulted by the team we are supporting by visiting, evangelising and playing.
