O/T!
Theoretically neither, practically both and neither. Reread your military history. Ok, here's the story:
1939: According to Ribbentrop-Molotov-pact, the Finland "belongs" to Soviets. From November 1939 to March 1940 the Finns are repelling Soviet attacks. In 13.3.1940 Finlan surrenders, losing it's easternmost part to Soviet Union. At 1941 Germany attack SU, and Finns attack SU too, in order to claim the land they lost (and of course some idiots want to make a Great Finland). After a glorious beginning, the lines stuck for three years. Germans ask Finns to cut the Murmansk railway, Finns refuse. At 1943 Germans cut the bread and weapons deliveries, wanting the Finns to fight with them till the end. President Ryti signs a pact, which says that any goverment under his command will not make a separate peace with Soviet Union. Germans deliver Finns a great amount opf weaponry.
At 11.6.1944 Soviet Union breaks the deadlock and begins a massive attack. After a month of war in southeastern Finland (Tali-Ihantala, northwest of Vyborg) the Soviets are exhausted. Ryti voluntarilly steps aside, a new goverment is formed - and the pact with Germany is therefore officially cancelled. We are indeed turncoats! A cease-fire is signed, where Finns admit in giving the previously lost part of land (Vyborg area) to Soviet union. After that, SU demands Finns to attack Germans in northern Finland (Lapland, close to Norway). After a month of hesisting the Finns attack and drive the Germans away.
OK, after WW2 we were practically a part of Eastern Block, but remained independent (in most ways). That's the most embarassing part of our close history. But what could you do? A small country between NATO (Norway), Sweden and Soviet Union, controlling the northern parts of Baltic sea...
However, Finland never lost it's independence. It and Britain were the only countries participating in World War 2 in Europe that were never conquered by any foreign army. Soviet Union is Asia!
This is really off-topic, but I just had to clear it out.

Finland has been in ownage of two countries: Sweden and Russia.
Swedish invaded Finns when they attack with rifles and we defended with spears (methapor).
And then Russian invaded us from Swedish and then we drove Ruskies off.
After that Finland hasn't belonged on any outside country. WW2 we fight against Ruskies twice and always held 'em away then we fight against Germans to drive them off the country.

Just being pedantic but no. It isn`t. Parts of the former USSR are recognised as being in Europe while other parts are in Asia.
All the parts the germans invaded during WWII are from the parts considered to be in Europe.

Oh yes, one is owned if realpolitical reasons (like a big, warwinning totalitarian nation in immediate neighbourhood wants you to kick out your former allies, who no longer are your allies).
Excellent sense of logics. I admire you.

Was WWII really over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
To avoid turning this into a nationality war, I, Slasher, shall now attempt the unthinkable: I'll bring a topic back ON-topic.
It's possible that this Bosch that makes spark plugs is indeed the diabolical great-grandfather of the real Aken Bosch we all know and love. But if this is true, what would our Vasudan allies think? Would they laugh or cry at having been ousted by someone who comes from a long and proud spark plug tradition?
