Ramming
IF the shields are down and you ram the brige of a ship that should do significant damage if not take it out of the battle. (depends on size of ramming ship/ship rammed and number of possible secondary bridges...
As for blowing thins up from the inside, you can do that with installations.. The Atlantis and the karnak...(I love that DS9 look!)

Considering that the original Tsunami bomb was an antimatter warhead and it does like 10% damage to a cruiser (IIRC), the fusion explosion of your reactor wouldn't even be significant.
Losing a few parts of your fighter would amount to scratching the paint of the hull of the ship. Antimatter == far more energy release than mere kinetic motion can provide. And the Tsunami sin't even the more powerful warhead in FS1. Too bad the Helios isn't a larger antimatter bomb (I guess they had containment problems) and was just a really large thermonuclear warhead.

I say just shoot the ships at light speed at the destroyers and rip them to bits LOL maybe 2 fighters could decimate a cruier at that speed! one going head on could probaly go right through the front and out the back HAHA that'd be hilarious! but the problem with this theroy or solution is that the terran havnt thought of that! just imagine sending an aeoulus full speed into a sathanas! haha easy fixing's for big problems

That would only work if the bridge is on an exposed part of the ship. Surely any ship designer would stick the bridge in the middle of the ship so giving it some measure of protection. We don't with boats (esp warships) admittely.
Back to ramming, I think I'ld be a bit nervous ramming a largership no matter if it only damaged a few subsystems.

exposed bridges
Yep very true, but designers of all species have the annoying habit of placing the bridge in a visually asthetic place of command (usually by itself, above most of the stations, and has a commanding view outside of itself)... Man I love those suckers! Launch an ambush from subspace and as soon as the forward shields go bye bye send in the heavy bombers on remote to swarm the bridge. undoubtably SOME will get through! Ship defenses aren't perfect!

I smell source code change. When a ships bridge subsystem is destroyed, then the ship powers down. Its turrets only fire defensively, and the engine shutsdown. The engine isn't disabled though, just not doing anything.
Same with a cockpit of a fighter. If the cockpit is destroyed, the enem fighter just keeps its present course. If the player's cockpit is destroyed, then he dies.
Anyway, why don't you just make your ship a Helios model with 1 hitpoint?

There isn't many orginal FS2 ships that haves a bridge... Actually only one: Hatseheptup...
those things can also been done in FRED, but ofcourse with source code it will come easier.

There are many ways to destroy a Sathanas (maybe from behind ? ). But a few old Fenris cruisers with a meson warhead aboard could do the job easily.

Once I saw a ravana which wsa about to ram an Orion. it didn`t use Beams and was sevearly damaged. Finally, Ravana exploded ( at distance to the Orion about 800 m ) and some parts of that Shivan destroyer stroke the Orion which was in effect sevearly hit and almoust destroyed.
I think I wrote how to make a Kamikaze generally. Take the ship you want to be the suicide attacker and then use events. Establish distance between the ship and target, and , say, at distance = 10 m self destruct + extra shockwave or extra damage.
It`s quite easy.

Why do all that when you could just check one or two little boxes and make it crash into your target?
