what i had to do was take all the data out of the .VP file and place it into the opropriate directories in the data folder.

I didn't know you could do that. is "Tale of EA Janus.VP" a zip file of sorts? Why don't my zip utilities see it as such?

How did you unzip it, using what?

After unzipping it I just got "tale of EA Janus.VP" about 3 MB big.

To get .VP work correctly you need to move few tables from (Weapons, Ships, Music) from \data\tables\ folder somewhere else than Freespca 2 directory. This should fix the problem and I really need to delete that .VP file, its usefull on normal FS, but useless on TBP.

And Of course I'll send tutorial, should be arriving now.

Just don't you forget that ITHOV is somwhere on your list of priorities (near the end I think) And don't you forget it. You'll all be seeing some big things from ITHOV, thanks to LR's help.
