I think it doesn't matter if you say sattelite, platform, sentry gun or anything else. You can call it just G.O.D. .
We aren't saying ship after a shipclass ("look thats an omega ship", "...have you seen the Hyperion ship there?" sound freakey, doesn't it ) so I don't think its important to say anything more that G.O.D. Eventually the versionnumber, if they have something like that GOD 2.5

Ok in an attempt to kind of bring this back on topic. In the episode Endgame at the end when the G.O.D's were spamming all their missiles, they were hitting fighters as well as the cap ships.

Will these missiles in TBP be targetting fighters as well as destroyers/cruisers etc, and if so are we going to be able to shoot them down? Because I don't see myself living very long against that kind of a barrage of missiles

There are two versions of Nemesis (GOD & Warlock) missiles.
Larger version will fire at cap ships and normal version will fire at all ships. Bigger missile is also targetable, normal is not.

Don't quote me for this but I believe following is Ice's decision not to make normal targetable. Because that would give you far too many targets and would be too hard to pick the real threats, larger Nemesis missiles.

Nemesis missiles homing capability is limited, so it's not a real threat against fast moving fighters. In Endgame, fighters and Whitestars were trying to shoot the missiles down before they'd hit the big ships.
