And when there's too many of them (beer bottles etc.) just blur it and colour it hippy so everyone will get a nice headache

Where is my sake cup? I need it now!

Now seriously, who would even need a planet killer on something big?

Couldn't you just have a flat thing with the shape of a PlanetKiller textured on to it? Maybe you could have a planet like this as well.

And then hope the player doesn't target either and muckaround with the camera ancles.

How very 1997.
No, seriously. A huge rectangle with a texture plastered on it ... just doesn't have class. Plus, that tex would have to be HUGE to get the proper levels of detail...I shudder to think what people without 32-64-128MB cards would do with one of those.

Maybe cut the model into a few smaller ships, it's not that important of a ship in terms of gameplay, i wouldn't make myself too crazy trying to get it to work. I'd rather have bintaks.

You know, its amazing that you people all think that the darned ship is like 40 miles long. I was just watching the episode where they first see the VPK yesterday and Ivanova said that they had ships as big as 4 miles across. That sort of implies to me that the biggest ship was 4 miles which would make the VPK's dimensions something like:
10 Km long * 8 Km wide * 2 Km thick
It's really not that big a ship.

.....relative to what you people think it should be anyways.
