I succest that you get Saitek ST-110 not best, but it wont break easily.
Played X-Wing series, FS1 (2 times) and FS2 (6 times now...) and it is still fully functional

I see no reason to use anything but a keyboard. Works better then a mouse and it's more versatile then a JoyStick.

Heh. Intresting, but it won't work in a group. Shades of gray and all.

That's a good point, but I think it takes something away from the realism of a game. Just imagine flying an F1-11 fighter jet with a keyboard - lol

Gee forces would prevent such a thing, you need somthing you can hang onto. Also the stick on the fighter is just one of meny controles.
Try flying a F1-11 with only the stick.

I've got a Sidewinder 2 Force feedback joystick but when I use it in Freespace my joystick is slack. It doesn't push itself back to the centre and the force feedback is hardly there!
Do you have any idea what is wrong? The joystick worked with Starlancer and X-Wing: Alliance, which I played two days before I used it with Freespace.
