And now that we have a source code for Freespace 2, just think what can we make. Hm I always wanted to have a mission where I jump into subspace (without ending the mission) and jump out on the other side.
Now that we have Freespace Forever project going, who needs Freespace 3 anyway.

In here it is rather easy to get FS2 in the shop called EMPIK, kinda place for selling all kinds of newspapers, magazines, music and software. Another good thing is it`s really cheap now.

Is it just the people in Europe that are having a hard time finding it?
I see it quite often around here. 4 or 5 copies at Software Ect., maybe another 3 at Hastings...maybe all the local red-necks just prefer hunting games instead.
*shrug*
Of course I haven't really looked for it in the recent past so maybe its faded out of sight. I'll look the next time Im in town.
Edit: Oops, nix the first copy of this post.

FreeSpace Packages
I have been an avid Freespace fan ever since the original year of Conflict: Freespace's release. In my time spent browsing games stores dotted around my home city and local vicinity, I have seen the following...
Conflict: Freespace (Original packaging)
Conflict: Freespace Gold (Original game + Silent Threat)
Notes: White box. GTD Orion class vessel features on front cover.
Freespace 2 (Original packaging)
I have never encountered a stand-alone copy of the Silent Threat mission pack or the "Simulation Of The Year" edition of FS2. One thing I do recall, however, and would be grateful of someone clarifying, is seeing either Freespace of Freespace 2 being offered as a DVD edition.

I got Silent Threat as a standalone. It was either at Best Buy or Babbages/Software Etc/Electronics Boutique...whatever. One of those places. There weren't a lot of copies, but they had a few, anyway.

As I wrote it is easy to find FS in here, but I`m talking about big city. However, it is impossible to find Silent aThreat nor FS Gold Edition.

I only got FS2 in january, it was a white label release with FS 1 and 2. I think i got it at amazon.co.uk. I was bored one day so was looking about an old demo desk and of the 10 games on it FS2 was the only one that worked on my easily crashed pc. The demo blew me away, the graphics were still looking quite good, so i bought it.
I havent seen silent threat anywhere though.
Pete
Plus is this my first post here?

Ok, I have a ... ehem... Wares copy.... I can't find an original copy anywhere here or on the net. I'd gladly pay for it if I could find it. I played FS2 for 3 months and then decided to buy it to support Volition who I consider one of the best game producers out there.
If someone can find a copy for me I'd pay for it + shipping + a finders fee (english please).
