I believe you dont know how Falcon 4 has evolved since its launch.there a HUGE community devoloping patches and mods for it. Falcon 4 is probably the most Modded Sim ever, now you can fly ANY plane and have T&L support, hi-res texies for weapons, soon there will be the EF200 for it(including its pit), and that is just a few to mention. they will be also a bazilion new theaters for it. I played Strike commander but personaly I think it had a few problems. The Aim-120 AMRAAM would rarely hit any targets with chaf, and most of the planes didnt have enough engine power to dogfight at higher speeds than a car, do you remenber those mirages 2000 and the Su-27? They flew like kites.
Falcon 4 is more fun I love Anti-ship missions theres usualy lots of defenses close to the ports I have to destroy with cluster bombs.
and sometimes there are furballs with more than 20 planes in the neighbouhood.there realy no comparhison between the 2.

I loved F-22 Total air war, the most brutal, massive dogfights ever seen..that one was realy fun. Destroying enemy planes on the runways withs cluster bombes was really sexy!
One of the most fun games I ever played even thogh the realism was something like sci-fi movie. Especially missiles Ir were too effective while radar misslies just woudn turn faster tha a prednant elephant.

I could fly the Falcon.. Flying Falcon 4.0 wasn't the hard thing... the problem was it was BORING. This is from a pilot who could fly the f16 at 18 inches above ground level inverted.

actually, I think the main thing I don't like about traditional flight sims is the campagn structure. I prefer the "cinematic" (for want of a better word) way that Freespace, Wing Commander, Strike Commander, etc, have done things.

well, the easiest way is to buy it from a shop. I think that's also the cheapest way, if you count court costs.

Well I actually got two copies of X-Tension. I ordered one from Egosoft directly but got impatient and bought a copy at EB before it arrived LOL.

If you get a copy, make sure you download the Version 2 patch. Mkes the game a WHOLE lot better!

D.
