Ahmed, I never said that some of the things you wanted could never be in the game. I was just implying that it was unrealistic to want all of those things. If you look at the screenshots of RF2 you can see it already has some of the features you listed. For instance bullets sparking when they hit the wall, this is clearly shown in one of the screenshots on RF2's website. But stuff like a dynamic sky is very nice to look at, but how many times do you really look at it when you are being pinned down by enemy fire? A game developer wants to put the most eye candy in that they can, but they have to take into account if the player is actually going to notice it more than once. They find all of the stuff that has lasting value, such as bullet sparks when hitting a wall, and leave that in. If you look at the screenshots of RF2 you can tell they are already pushing the ps2 very hard, and to put all of the other stuff that you want in would just be to much, they have to save space and system resources where ever possible. If that means making bullet decals disappear a little sooner that you'd like them to, well then that’s just too bad for you. You also talk about putting stuff in that would make the game a blatant clone of CS game devs don't want their game to be labeled as a clone. Also, you talk about the geo-mods sometimes being wrong. How many games to you know of that can modify the terrain in real time? NONE! You know why? Because it is quite possibly the hardest thing ever done in a game programming wise; if you talk to any programmer that knows how a 3d environment works and how hard it is to program for he/she will tell you just how impressive the geo-mod system already is.
Also, if you do manage to pick up a copy of rf2 when it hits the shelves and you see something in the game that doesn't quite meet your "realism" requirements, SUSPEND YOUR DISBELIEF! It’s a video game, not real life.
You also need to ask yourself, do you want RF2 this year or 2 years from now? If the devs put all of the stuff your asking for in the game then thats how long it would be before you ever saw the game on the shelf, if not longer.
Now don't get me wrong here, Ahmed. I too would like to see many of those things in a game. Its just when making a game you have to be realistic about the time and money its going to take to put in the best things, and then if you have some time and money left add in the extra eye candy and easter eggs.
You have been Regulated. Goodbye.

Regulator, my post is a WISH LIST, that means i dont demand that every point i made be included. How ever, most of my points were based on info that i had picked up about rf2, such as the dynamic sky, I said that becuase RF2 has weather, such as rain, seen in screen shots, so I thought it would be nice to have the sky move or change, as Perfect dark does.
Also, i dont believe I have gone for the realism style, just look at my gore ideas, I just prefer slower, more thoughtful gameplay, similar to Half-life's, and less like quake or doom.
I agree with you about it would be impossible to get all my ideas into the game, thats why its a wishlist, maybe the [V] will skim through it and see just one nice point they like, and add it(please be my multiplayer points). I just wanted to compile a "ideal game" ideas, and I think RF2 can get damn close to it.

I want RF2 to do right everything that RF1 did wrong.
Ermm... maybe that's a bit TOO much of a wish.

To be fair Zylon, I think [V] did a good job with RF1, the single player was a great experience, maybe the multiplayer should have been a bit more extensive, but thats its only problem. If you look at rf1 competition, you will see how much better rf1 was at the time, games like quake 3 and UT, which just offered no real single player, and death match multiplayer, which we all know is toilet.
As soon as developers realise deathmatch is pants, and put in decent team based goals for multiplayer i will be happy.

Except for vehicles, everything RF singleplayer did, Half-Life did better. The entire experience was childish and cartoony. Amateurish voice acting, an incoherent plot, sloppy pacing, dull level design... bleah.

Is there anything wrong with being "childish and cartoony"?
Most Nintendo games are cartoony, but they're damn good.

Zylon i completely agree with you, i think my ideas would combat any childish, amateur scenes, like u meantioned. I think gore is a necassity, as well as better death animations. Zylon if you skim my list I made, i think you will agree , my ideas will give the game a more evolved looks and feel.
When [V] realise that console gamers arent just 12 year old kids, but 19-30 year old now as well, and put some material that would be in a good 18 rated film, i dont mean porn, i mean violence.

F S W, maybe mario works, but when you have a FPS game, that has quite realistic environments and realistics animaions- cartoony gfx and childish gameplay dont work, in fact ruin it.

Even older then that, some of the people I met through RF are in their 30s, 40s, even 1 in his 50s.
With the issue of Violence, I'm not sure that games can get much more gorey, or that I'd want them to, then [URL=http://mediaviewer.ign.com/ignMediaPage.jsp?channel_id=59&object_id=16327& adtag=network%3Dign%26size%3D468x60%26channel%3Dpc

I thought the single-player was pretty well done, though I haven't played Half-Life, I'd say it was better then the SWAT 3 Single-Player. The only thing I really disliked in the Single-Player was how much ammo I had to waste on the basic inept guard in the beginning. I'm playing through the single player again now with the Hive mod on, Hive beta 1.2a, and I'm just using the homing rockets on them.

I am comparing the violent content with RF1, not SOF2, I think maybe SOF is to violent, but RF1 looks silly.
On another note, have any of you guys seen the new rf2 videos, on ign? they show rf2 having some blood clouds when being shot, but they dont look that great, and also i dont think theres any gore, I saw a screen shot and this guy was shot in the foot with a grenade launcher, and he just fell over, quite dumb really.
It looks so stupid when all the area around people is geo-moded, but the guy you just blasted, reaches down and slowly loses consciousness. WE NEED GIBS, like half life, and SOF2

Do what ZB says. HL is a good game. Very cheap, too.
Why do you insist on having more gore? More varied death animations would be nice, as well as (maybe) limbs getting blown off, but I'm not sure about more blood. I think that that RF1's blood level is just right.
Anyway, if the game was any more violent I wouldn't be able to get it. It was hard enough for me to get RF1. It has a 15 rating in the UK and I'm 14.
Anyway, if this is just a wishlist which doesn't have to be realistic, why don't you just save yourself some time and just write down "the perfect FPS".

FSW, soon you will be 15, and then you will wont the gore. Im not saying lets just put in unrealistic amounts of gore and blood, but Half life has gore and blood, i think they have got it just right.
Hunter half life is the FPS that gave birth to the genre proper, before it, the gameplay was as deep as RF1 multiplayer on the ps2 (CRAP). I mean quake 2 , it was so boring.
