There are a number of issues which will be present with v2 although I believe they aren't things you'll particually care about .... such as

From the internal forum : release 2.1 will correct these areas

New effects bundle - nebulas / planets as seen a few weeks ago and damn it makes a difference in game!

Ani's For Fighters: a new set of simple ani's for fighter selection ship

Orion: New textures (resized and new) (will look better and run better)

Smoothing Check : Sun/fire hawks, Atm Shuttle, Crew Shuttle, Psi Shuttle, Lintari, T-bolt, Omega, Vorchan, Freighters, Radier Carrier, Raider Battlewagon, Tinashi, Midwinter, Orion, others??

Babylon 5 Texturing and Smoothing Completed

From my input for release 2.1 anyway

Here is something interesting. The nVidia might be loosing the the consumer market battle. I get this from several artivles I read on tomshardwareguide.com. also nVidia wants to bring direct x 9 features to home user for like 79 dollars. here is one article.
