Agreed...a slow regen rate for fighters would help you survive a bit easier.

I've doubled the amount of damage done by weapons and doubled fighter armor. I found that in the big battles, with multiple Omega's for instance...the crossfire would kill fighters almost instantly...so this new balanced high version works much nicer. And nobody has really noticed the difference except that its more fun.

More armor on fighters would also help aleviate blast damage.

BTW: The new emoticoms are funny.

Actually to make the game "realistic" (well B5 realism) would DEFINATLY make the game less fun.

One shot and you're dead? In reality this is an arcade shooter. Do you think all the shooters would be as popular if it was one or two shots and your dead??

Here is my "theory":
Games were made for gamers to have fun. PERIOD.

If you want realism go to a sim. ( and i dont mean "The Sims")

Even most sims have some kind of compensation for the fact that you are not actually *there*...and therefore some depth is lost. Even the most realistic of WWII flight simulators occasionally work to ensure fun factor/gameplay over absolute realism.
