yes but these are better, it isn't just a slingle arbitrary color that you set to not get shaded it's a map, so you can vary it, further not many people can run under glide these days so enableing this in D3D is going to help a lot of people

they could be enabled for TBP, I think they should be

I have made a newer build while testing with TBP, I have aslo made a glowmap enabled version of TBP.
note I am assuming everyone is useing the most up to date version as available off of Mr Furrys site

play this and you'll see why this is an improvement over the ND tags

pay particular attention to the hyperion and orion

you know what I sould make a new topic about this

ok whitestar55 your problem is that the game cannot find your glide version 2 driver. This either means you dont have a voodoo card or if you do have a voodoo card you need to reinstall the drivers. If your running under windowsXP i suggest you try the amigamerlin 2.5 drivers for it (there is also a win9x and win2k version). You can get them here http://www.voodoofiles.com/7802. If you get them then i suggest you make a system restore point in case your dont like them.

I use these drivers with a voodoo 5 and a voodoo 3 on freespace 2 with tbp and opensource and they work a treat.

The game loads as normal the only prob is when im using this new open source(which has NOTHING TO DO WITH TBP!!!!!!!!)

I just asked here because i didnt know that codesource had their own BB!!!!

But thanks for the input!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I know the problem.....

i think i know what the problem is..........

I have this game sooooooo chopped up and sooooooo modded beyond belief that there are too many variables that i've F****** with.

I dont have the enrire TBP mod installed.....I've just taken the good parts (which means like 99.9% of it!) along with my own ship/weapons table..

I have virtually NO default ships in my table(except for the Shivans, for some reason if you delete too many of them the game crashes...........)

I have alot of those spots filled in with converted models (models I took out of other games and converted them for use in FS2)

So I guess that explains why I cannot use the files..........

I'm kinda stuck anyways because somewhere along the line I lost disk #1.......(Although I have 50000000 copies of disks 2 and 3....)

So I guess I'll just hope that some of the coding problems will be released in small patches (PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

If not? ah well I can still have fun with this game that will hopefuly "Stand the test of time......"
