Been awhile since I posted here...

Anyway, the campaign Knight Templar was referring to was Hidden Terror, which was my campaign. As said, you did play as shivans, plus an added storyline... I really liked what I had planned for it, but I had to cancel it because my hard drive crashed and I lost pretty much everything, not to mention my website--freedom2surf became a payed for host instead of the free one

Let me tell you it is completely possible to make a shivan campaign that is hard, and it is completely possible to allow your ship to slide back and forth like shivan ships do, using the numpad I believe. Although the game does not come with loadout ani's and weapon ani's for the shivan ships and weapons, other people can make those(as it was in my campaign)

I'd really like to see a finished product of a shivan campaign... the idea sparked my imagination and I had come up with a very unique storyline with the campaign I had made, with the help from a few others(venom for example). I believe you or someone else should go ahead with the idea, although I have to say I will not volunteer as a permanent staffer for a project such as this, I am a freelancer type Ani artist, and I assist people here and there with various things. So if you need something I could probably help.

I could give you the basic outline of what I had planned Hidden Terror to be, but yet I'm not so sure I want to give it out, even though nothing will be made with it. If you'd like to know how I planned my shivan campaign that's fine, just ask me.

Anyway, good luck.

I think a good idea if it was to take place after Silent Threat would be the Shivans trying to regroup and rejoin the main attack fleet they'd know was incoming, but then being constantly hunted and attacked by Terrans and Vasudans (and maybe even helped by HoL?).
This isn't such a bad idea, you'd just have to place things right, I don't think everyone here thinks it's that bad, just not too practical. Myself, I'd love to see a campaign like this.

Well, new ideas are always great, but in according to skill level, a campign should be playable under Insane and Very Easy. If a campaign is only playable while Easy or Very Easy, then there's bound to be times where you cant pass a mission even on those skill levels (or just going through it several times). Insane should be difficult, but not impossible.

i find it impossible to win on INSANE, it is completely unfair.

they fight with unlimited weapon energy and they fire continusly and a bomber can out manuver a Perseus Intercept Fighter.

I have trouble surviving a head on fight with 2 fighters and a crusier on Medium since the cruiser hits me with its Anti Fighter Beams and NEVER misses, when my sodding crusier NEVER hits. lol

I always like to think that the medium difficulty setting is the one that should be the all around 'right' setting for enemy advantages not being too large, but still being 'realistic', although it's kinda dumb to look for realism in a sci-fi I know, but you should get what I mean.

When you set deadzone to maxium, Joystick goes almost numb. It takes ages to turn even with Mara or Pegasus, you'll be really piece of a cake for enemy. Try it gives some challenge
