Ummm. That's the nebula. The fact that there is a link off that system to the one from "Into the Lions Den" (Dive. Dive. Dive. etc) should have tipped you off

And the missing systems aren`t mentioned in FS1 or FS2 anyway so who really cares if they aren`t there

I propose naming the nebula beyond Gamma Draconis the...
*dramatic pause*
STYX NEBULA

Because in Greek mythology, one had to cross the river Styx to get into the underworld. Seems rather appropriate.

Name the ship, name the weapon, name the system, bah, its all the same

Systems are named afte REAL systems, so there would be no Styx Nebula (at least to the HUMAN knowledge).

Ack! I was just looking and I seem to have lost IceFire's map that I saved, and it's not the one from the BWO site, cuz that's an older version which is missing the link from Alphard to Barnard's Star . Anyone know where I can find it???
I like collecting the various nodemaps ppl have created (ex. PegasusV, joek, IceFire), cuz I think they're pretty cool, even if 'unofficial' in some context.

I've put together a map composed of all the ones that have been released, and the most common systems thereof. Try doing that, and it's a lot easier.

In FS2, in the Lions Den, do we think its appropriate to name the system after Gamma D Guari Nebula, like in BEL?

OR

Might the system ACTUALLY be Ghenna b/c that system never comes up... hmmm...

:edit: There is/was no link between Alphard and Bernard's Star... ever...???

No that's not the one I'm thinking of, it's like the one off the BWO site, here;

(sorry about the size )
Just like this one except with the fixed errors). I can't remember where I even found the previous one, and it's starting to bug me...

I swear to god I fixed all the errors in that map. What isn't fixed?

Ghenna was removed because Ace never did his campaign that really featured it. So I removed it from the map. The point of my maps is not to be 100% canon...the point is to take the canon map, add the systems that are in the campaigns that I was involved in (one way or another) and create a FreeSpace Extended map. Its supposed to be perfect on with what Volition said with their official map (note: that map is official, the CB anims in FS1 are NOT correct so do not use them as a frame of reference).

The FS1 map is the one used in FS2 as well. No new systems are added to the map and the nebula system or the system beyond were never labled or part of the map either. Thats on my next map however

The campaigns that this map was (or was supposed to be) compatible with are:
- Warzone
- Derelict
- BlackWater Operations
- Twilight
- The Babel Effect (canceled)

I think BEL also used my map and expanded on it. Essentially, I wanted to create some kind of unofficial expanded map. And thats what I did. I attempted to make sure that it serves a canon purpose but also adds to the list of systems...expanding the universe. I could just have easily made a carbon copy of Volition's map...but what would be the point?

hello IceFire, good to hear from ya! Actually you did fix the map at some point or another except this isn't it!
The one I just linked above from the BWO site is missing the nodelink from Alphard to Barnard's Star... so really I'm just being nitpicky , but I know you had made that change before, I just can't find what happened to it! I've been trying to remember but I just can't, since it was well over a year ago...

which makes me think that it was probly before the BWO site switched formats too, maybe it got lost in the switchover...
