Gota be better than the lil 200meg divx encodes that are floating around.
Weren't similar concerns raised over the ItB/Pilot DVD? I remember it could seem a little hazy for DVD quality at times, but this was mainly when watching on my computer. When put on TV, it looked just fine. Something to do with the higher resolution of computer monitors, perhaps?

I really don't care about the image quality. I haven't seen Babylon 5 for... umm... like four years. To see the whole Season 1 again would be like meeting an old friend.
Now I just have to persuade my brother to buy the DVD set.

For those of you who have the DVDs, how would you rate the image quality compared to the picture you'd get off, say, satellite?

Not true DVD quality but slightly better than it is usually in TV.
That's how it's been so far in all B5 dvd's, and most likely will continue to be.

I HAVE to get the DVDs soon! The last time I saw the show was like for years ago when the Space channel stopped playing it!(that really sucked) But after seeing the show through 3 times I gave it a break and the next thing I knew it was off the air! So the only video B5 input I have is the DVD movies of the Gathering and In The Beginning! That show was always great with the awesome storyline, battles and multiple layers to it, I HAVE to buy it!

I've just bought them but due to funding restrictions as a poor university student, I'm patiently waiting until Christmas to open them as a "present from family"!
Can't wait as my video collection is at home and I only have a DVD player on my PC at uni.
