I am not the worlds greatest FREDer but i can turn out some decently good missions, about a week or so for one.

I sometimes spend a bunch of weeks perfecting a mission. Its not continuous work...but you have to do something and take a step back and see if what you did was good "at the time" or if its a lasting hit.
A week is a very good amount of time for a mission.
