If you can get Evangelion: Death and Rebirth then you *should* be able to get the first two volumes since apparently they were released on the same day (Aug 14). Look around, Electronics Boutique usually stock Madman titles as do the online stores of various large retail chains (KMart, Target etc) even though they only keep a limited number on the shelves of their physical stores (at least over here in W.A., may be different elsewhere...).

Another series that looks to be worth further inspection is Gasaraki. I say "looks" because I only have the first two volumes and not much has happened yet so I'll have to wait until I get the next two volumes before I even begin to have an informed opinion.

One thing I will say though is, if you live in Australia, make sure you buy at least the first two volumes from overseas. The local R4 release has the subtitles for the second speaker in a greyish-black colour thats all but impossible to read on dark backgrounds. I'm told that ADVs R1 release in addition to the last 6 volumes of the Madman R4 release aren't affected.

edit: And if you don't watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles then you need to be shot

personally i like it when the original language is english...

but yeah, go with subtitles not dubbing because you lose the effect if its a shoddy english translation

Dragon Ball Z: recorded and VHS
Dragon GT: From the series that appears Super Andoid 18 to the last one.
Some animes recorded that showed SCI-FI in the morning in the weekends, and that was a long time ago.

I should have made that part more clear...

If the original language is Japanese then you're a fool to watch it in anything else. If the original language is English (just how many Animes of Japanese origin have English as their original language?) then the same applies.

I think that, after seeing the Classic Bubblegum Crisis dub, I'm immune to crappy dubbing but I'm not prepared to test that theory...

It just always seems like the Japanese voices fit the character better. For example, in Cowboy Bebop, the acting isn't too bad in the dub, but Spike sounds too whiny, Faye's voice is too deep and laid back, and I won't even begin to talk about how bad the casting for Ed was.

Hmmm... Something good.

Samurai Deeper Kyo has been good so far and All purpose cultural cat girl Nuku Nuku is hilarious, also Hellsign was a real enjoyment to watch. Well at least those are good, good hunt
