This thing is a MASSIVE heatsink, and with the fan it's even bigger. I've also read reports of them just not fitting, period, on dualie boards. It has trouble fitting on a lot of single-CPU boards (although most new ones fit it fine, like Alpha's site has a warning about my 8KHA+ (the possibility of hitting a cap or something) but when I installed it there were no troubles at all)
A possible alternative might be the Thermal(right/take/someone) AX-7. I hear it's quite good, and a bit better at fitting onto boards, including dualies. Ars Technica's Case and Cooling Fetish forum would know for sure, because that's where I picked up all this
This site (as have a few others) mentions the possibility of the thing being able to take PAL8045s (in stock configuration I imagine) but they don't appear to mention whether or not they actually used them in their testing...
