My name was FSW. This was quite a few PA rounds ago, between 4 and 5 I think, or during the Beta rounds. My GC asked me to join.

If you want to have an interesting face to face capital ship combat with a Sobek, put a Deimos in front of it. They are nearly the same type of ship, and they are both flying fortress.
Depending on their starting position, one will have an advantage on the other.

I remember you! (These RE: s are piling up)
Deimos VS Sobek is fun to watch, especially with time compression on. They start off face-to-face and start circling each other.

hehe, yeah I just pitted thema gainst eachother.
head on, the deimos wins. if you put the sobek a little lower ont he Y axis, IT wins, since it's canons are at the "top" of the ship.

Both are my favorites. In cooperation, they can rip through an entire armada without any problem.
Plus when you are part of a bombing run involved in destroying one of those ships, you very often finish the fight flying around in space... without your bomber, since it has been nicely dismantled on the first or second assault

only if you do it the old fasion way in a heavy bomber. Dive bomb either one in a Myrmidon or take some trebs and pop their beams/flak first.

Ha. I hate bombing run anyway. Those damn pieces of trashes are way too slow.
