Yes Telepath need line-of-a-sight or contact (even trough walls) to scan or to try effect to opponents mind...

Unless in Jumpspace where their powers increase exponetially.... in there they are almost limitless. Plus that is where the Psi Corp's Mother One is... that is the mother ship. So if there was a mission with a human Telepath in Jumpspace, he would not need line of site, and would have a greater range of sensing things. ...would be interesting...

Yes Telepathic abilites will be enforced in Hyperspace, but it doesn't chance the fact thatthey need line of sight (or be really close). Telepath doesn't need to be in line of sight to sense a precese of other thinking creature... You could call it a surfance scan, but not a scan...
Like Bester said: "Telepath hears always a constant background noice". This makes easier to locate and count people around telepath. In the episoode Voices... Bester counted casualties in bombing strike in Mars, by background cries...

This is a bit off topic, but are you going to make a sexp to enable the mission to end for example in ships landing bay. I'd like to know because it's really frustrating to fool around with that red-alert mission and putting waypoints inside the landing bay or fooling with distance things to do that. Just wondering because I actually made this Black Omega for a campaign of mine. ( Won't be ready for a long time)

I'd like to know because it's really frustrating to fool around with that red-alert mission and putting waypoints inside the landing bay or fooling with distance things to do that. There are working versio in my campaign of landing bay using without red-alert and waypoint fooling...
But it has distance... They released FS2 source code, so you can make one of that kind sexp...

Yes I've made that thing in a mission of mine myself. It's not the sexp's it's more of that it looks a bit strange when you're landing and the "Downloading new orders" text appears on the hud (though one can bypass it by putting a goal to be complete when the text should appear). It would be really nice if one could put to the departure destination for Alpha into ship's docking bay and it would really do something else than allowing wingmen to land.

Now this is one thing that shouldn't be too difficult with access to the source code.
On the subject of the Black Omega Starfuries, the only differences are the paint jobs and the pilots. The pilots are all P12 Psi Cops and probably fairly proficient pilots at that (not as skilled as full time combat pilots). They don't have extra weaponry (as standard anyway) nor do they have stealth (Sheridan detected Bester's Starfury normally in 'Ship of Tears') and don't appear to have better manoeuvrability (as seen in combat).
