I thought of that (that it'd carve up everything), and if you look at how I suggested it be set up, you'll notice that at most only three beams can be brought to bear on a single target. Two straightbeams on the front, one straightbeam and two slashbeams on each side, one straightbeam each on the top and bottom. Or you could substitute SGreens, which are less powerful, for some of the BFGreens.

How powerful is that? Not as much as the Big G in BWO, I suspect!

Yeah, I didn't notice that! Be interesting to see it.

Yeah, that's the GTC Tyr, used by the bad guys... it was meant to be a prototype for the Golgotha tech and plays the role quite well.
The ship also has some slasher beams, on it plus little dodads like the sensors rotating, etc.
...but it still needs to be converted to a .pof

Well Ace, there's always the possibility of one being captured.
Actually, that sounds like a good idea for inclusion in a campaign if it's possible; you capture a fighter/bomber, have it towed in, and then your scientists reverse-engineer it and start building it. Sound good?

Man, with all these classified campaigns, all my ideas are being "taken" by all these pros.

Nah, the Aeolus is far too small to carry a decent amount of fighters. I meant a new class altogther, between corvette and destroyer.
