I'm guessing these turrets are going to just be stuck onto the stations hull, or will you give each turret its own "compartment" from which they come out of when the defense grid is activated (see the battle sequence in The fall of night, season 2 if you don't understand what I mean).

I know exactly what you mean and your talking crazyness

There's a few hacks that might let us do that, but its a little too much to do. Especially when the model is already over 3000 polys, the most any model in FreeSpace 2 has ever been. Now, we're going to make it run as best we can with some amazing LODing, but we'll see what happens. Anyways, no, they don't open and close and do dances on the hull, but they do FIRE...which is important

i don' think so mon FS2 engine is not made for moving objects on the hull exept turrets and if they where turrets that move they would go in and come out go in and come out to shoot again right?



but hey atleast somebody posted been sittin here since this mourning so quiet hate it
