Starts change colour throughout their lifetime

Blue Supergiant
Blue-white Giant
White
Yellow-white
Yellow (The Sun)
Orange-yellow
Orange Giant
Red Giant

then either

Red Supergiant - SUPERNOVA - Neutron Star - maybe Black Hole

or

Red Giant - NOVA - Red Dwarf - Black Dwarf

This is probably not entirely correct but although there is no green classifiaction, it is accepted that soem stars do APPEAR green when in either the Blue-White or White stage. AS for atmospheric refraction, this is also correct. During a Terran sunrise, the sun does appear green for a few seconds given perfect conditions.

A star's color is dependant on it's temperature - all colors through the spectrum are possible - but green just doesbn't happen for some reason.

Now to make things even more confusing. When using the temperature of the suns photosphere we can calculate at what wavelength in the visible spectrum of light that the sun puts out most it's energy. Oddly enough that wavelength lies in the "lime green" area of the spectrum. So the suns actual color, or the color most of its energy is put out in, is lime green. Only reason it appears white is because it also puts out energy in all the colors of the visible spectrum, hence when you have all colors at once you get white. So now why does the sun appear yellow here? Haha, astronomy is so confusing ain't it?

And the Europeans knew the world was round by 1492, thanks. The whole "Colombus knew it was round, they didn't!" is bunk. Colombus thought it was just a lot smaller in diameter (ergo circumference) than the rest of Europe did.

Actually, when you mix all the colours in the spectrum you get black. To test this theory, simple draw a line with a black felt tip pen, the run over it with water, thus all the colours in the spectrum appear......tada.

Not true. If you mix all of the colours in the spectrum you get white. The three light primary colours are red blue and green. If you mix these together in equal proportions you will get white.

For pigments, the three primary colours are yellow, cyan and magenta. Yellow absorbs blue light, reflecting green and red. Cyan absorbs red light, reflecting blue and green. Magenta absorbs green light, reflecting red and blue. If you mix two pigment primary colours you will have two light primary colours absorbed (leaving red blue or green) and if you mix all three pigment primary colours together then you will get black (as you say).

This means that to get green light from a star you need to:
a) Have the star emitting light in the green spectrum.
b) have any non-green light refracted/absorbed so it does not reach the viewer.

Green light is to some degree emitted from most stars (all white/yellow stars) so you only need the appropriate atmosphere to make a star appear green.

Actually, both of you are right.
If you mix light, you get white...
But if you mix paint (all colours) you get black...
