They are installed. I extracted all the folders to my fs2/data directory and they went to the appropriate folders and it still only loads 2/3 of the first mission and locks up.

EDIT: Ok I was just poking around in fs2 and I think I may have found a possible prob. I can not view the Olympus in the tech database because it locks up my system. There is also an Olympus in the first mission of the MW and there is not one in the first mission of the demo. What could be wrong with it? The textures on it also do not look right in Fred2, they look smudged(lack or a better term). Any ideas?

Textures looking strange in FRED2 is perfectly normal, in my comp hyperion look completely grey, but the nose in all blue.

I think you should try getting the olympus model from the original TBP pack and try again.

I crash and get this error every time

Error: Can't open file <EAFighterMiss.pof>
File:C:\projects\freespace2\code\Model\ModelRead.cpp
Line: 1198

Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------

After installing your campaign this error comes up even when loading the official TBP missions. I restored a backup of my Data folder to fix the problem.

Ok I tried replacing the model and that had no effect so I started changing all my settings. I usually run in 1024x768 32bit. I had to turn it down to 16bit in game and now it works.

I was always running at 16 bit, i wonder what the problem is, i don't have the file is asks for, what model is "EAFighterMiss.pof" anyway (was it added in the TBP patch, i haven't gotten it yet)?

I'm about 8 missions in the third release and it's really good.

Ok, now that's exctly the case. The EAFighterMiss.pof, is the Venom missiles model, and yes, it was added in the patch. The reason why you didn't get the error now, is that the release you are now playing with has old tables, the new one doesn't.

So get the patch, and then install the new campaign, so you actually get to play it to the end.

Whee!

And once again Pera is one step ahead of me.

Make sure you take all new packs, because old ones may not work in new version. And I haven't never had that Lexington problem, odd and I have played it trough atleast 5 times.

And its nice to have somebodies who like it.

In mission 8, I sped up through the introductory speaking (I had heard it all the first time) and found that when the Sharlin was rammed all of the Nials were destroyed by the blast and no further waves of its fighters appeared. Then the Sharlin proceded to move away and blow up. At which point the objectives for the EAS Patton and EAS Janus surviving failed and the mission as a whole failed (and I could jump out with no other ship jumping). I have looked through the events and it seems that the docking bay was destroyed so no further fighters could appear (I am not sure of this) and the objective sexps only cater for the Sharlin departing, not for it being destroyed (a distinct possibility with all of the punishment that it takes). I was just wondering if you have encountered this before and making a recommendation

I love the campaign so far (I'm sure you want to hear about any potential bugs though) and especially how there is a definite story feel to the campaign.

Only Sharlins weapon sub-sys is suppose to be destroyed and Sharlin should be able to survive it return's in next mission. Thats why I put there if you go too close its anti-fighter beams is activated. Fighterbay should be able to survive and new nials should arrive.

You like story? I had really hard time with that part. Its good to add some story there it makes campaign more intresting. Making story out from EA-Minbari war was really hard.

There are some things that you can do for the story

In my EA-Minbari campaign script the first thing I did was to outline plots and characters. Now I am gradually building missions around this framework (I have the basics of all 15 missions now sorted and just need to fully detail every event).

Whee!

I´ll wish you luck with your campaign and I hope it comes popular.

Frame work is really important, I had my old campaign for orginal FS2 in backround. It would be nice camp. sadly it doesnt excist anymore.

i loved the nova-x but when it's hull was semi-organic why did it get blown away by the sharlin so fast i hoped to see it in some more cool action and finally when it went to battle with say 6 sharlins it would blow away 5 of them and then it would blow it self now that would be more lifelike don't you think?

Whee!

Yes I agree with you Peras Nova-X is impressive.
And here is my answer:
Even if I am a megalomanic, I still have my limits. It just would be too many ships and with that way I had a chance to destroy all tech without an larger questions.
I modificated it so that it wouldn´t move with 135m/s and put its armour not-so-good. After all I wanted to keep it some limis and so that humans wouldn´t have a chance to use Shadow tech in full scale.

I am also getting this error:
Error: Can't open file <EAFighterMiss.pof>
File:C:\projects\freespace2\code\Model\ModelRead.cpp
Line: 1198

Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------

Except that the file I cannot open is Aurorae or something very close to that.

I have downloaded and installed every zip file at the link provided at the start of this thread.

I have attempted to download the 1.1 patch listed on the main TBP page, but I get a Page Cannot Be Displayed error from 3d Downloads when I attempt to download the file, no matter from what mirror I attempt to use. I am rather at a loss as to what to do, and could use some help.
