ye-ah...full-length movies eh?
600MB = 34 hours, give or take, on a 56k...

Thankfully, TBP is much smaller than 600 megs. And Kazan's point is that it's very possible to download big things, so don't worry. (heck, I downloaded large files on my 56k all the time, GetRight, and overnight. easy easy)

I got all of Wing Commander: Secret Operations (120mb with Speech) back in the day on my 56k that only went 42.4k.

I have a 56k modem but I aint whining, I will d/l all the files regardless of how long it takes.
hell even if it took 24 hours for one file i'd sit online to get it, just outta curiosity will it be really hard on my poor poor poor Voodoo Banshee? lol if it is I will need to buy a new 3D card, I saw a Prophet 3 or somethin for about £70

You can easily do 140 megs in one eight hour session on a 56k modem.

i'm only 15 and i have a 56k and i downloaded most of the mod in no time,
as for my parents i just dont tell em. :d.

I pay for the internet and the phone line here, bsides my girlfriend doesnt mind and her mom is always at work so I can do whatever I want on the internet

bah get an ISDN you guys.Its trusty,good in net games like Counter-Strike and its relatively cheap.I have a deal with one
of the telephone companies here at finland.I get to use both lines in my ISDN for free from 17.00 to 07.00 from Monday to Friday.
And at weekends its free all day.And it costs about 16$ in a month.So no downloading probs for me.

And when using 2 lines i get 16k's per second when downloading with GoZilla.

i used to have AOL, (sigh i remeber those long nights sitting by my dad while he see's who's been on the internet and downloaded this, and stuff.) i always got in trouble .
but i'm converted to Ntl (who's service is crap, but its free )

I dont need to worry about AOL, I am on the £15 a month service and I own the pc and the phone line and AOL so I can do what I want
besides my girlfriend doesnt mind and either does her mum
