YEAH~~ This is the best news in my life for the past 2 years!
ok... you guys don't know me.
I've been watching the team for over a year...
I never said anything in the forum because when I first
arrived there was some really dumb questions being asked
(like put FS2 ships to fight with Bab5 ships)
and those newbies got ponded into some really fine pulp.
Since I have no modding skill what so ever, I decided to wait
for a while... (coming soon you said...)
Over the year, I've always wanted to tell you guys that you
are doing one heck of a job. The pitures poste d by Cpwhite
always excites everyone.
I almost stepped in to voice act, and even downloaded the program to record my voice... it was aweful, and I don't think
the team will need a Asian guy voice with a almost pure American accent....
(When have you ever seen a Asian guy on Bab5 anyway...
besides that bald japanese "family matter" principal in thirdspace... he even got killed by a chick...)
Anyways, I think you guys deserve to know that there must be manymore like me watching the team's work, and know we think you guys are doing hella good!

Wasn't the first officer on Crusade Asian?
I always found it odd that there were no mexicans in Star Trek. I think Chakotay (or however you spell in) was AmerIndian.

We've seen alot of different cultures represented in sci-fi. In our MOD, we've got alot of accents. The next time we go for voice, I want even more variety of accents (if thats even possible).
Right now I can think of American, British, French, Russian (or something Slav anyways), and I bet there is something else in there too.
I'm very happy with it. Better diversity!

Hmmm... this release is coming out way too fast. Maybe I should start slowing things down and this release will come out in next year! [sadistic laugh]
*whew* OK. My opinion on voice acting. They were totally excellent... I just don't know what to say I'm speechless, the only thing what sucks in this release is the amount of the missions. Though I know that when the release comes everyone starts planning their own campaigns, making own missions and suddenly the amount of five missions is fifty missions. So... be prepared to be laminated...
Also in other news... (assuming that someone cares), spelling errors have been corrected on Operation Avatar and the campaign is probably released before the end of this week. The crew who made that campaign has changed totally so you can see the change during playing through it. It gets better, it gets worse but I hope you all will enjoy it as James Moores said that if this campaign is a success then we will make a sequel which will be partly a sequel also to my old "The Enemy from the Past" campaign... but that's all for now.

Yeah, only 5 missions unfortunately. But we definately did not want to start big.
We had some problems, we learned from them, and our next set of missions and the overall production will be better. For instance, I think we'll have a new way for setting up hyperspace jumpouts that is better than the way we have right now, but we aint got time for that right now.
Coming down to the wire folks. It'll be out soon!

update on Demo E.T.A.
Voiceacting completed.
All samples are recorded and processed.
the table files are done , the wavs are final and the CommAnims are ready.
The missions now get updated with this stuff.
Blacksheep is also tweaking some of the sounds, he will do that this weekend.
In addition to the ambient lightning we are also trying to create a nice No-Dim-Effect with the texture maps. That means some areas of the texture maps are always shown bright , like windows which are supposed to count as light sources. This will make the ships more .... authentic and "operational"
So . If we don't get confused while trying to put everything together I would say the demo comes this weekend. With bad luck on monday or tuesday.

no. It's possible but it sends computer ships a bit crazy.
The AI either doesn't use it at all (thereby making it seem very strange and unbalancing the game) or uses it badly. The inertia of the ships has been worked on though.

Oct. 8?!
How perfect. The same day we have superlative pics at school...I'm voted "most likely to succeed" (on the vote sheet it said "most likely to beat Jeapordy!")
But, um, anyways...suggestion on priority: Finish the Omega, Thunderbolt, Badger, and Babylon 5 Station, and put together about 10 missions. Is that a decent, achieveable goal?
