well at least all the major powers are on the same side this once so no apocalyptic or 2001 doomsday year or prophecies will apply. I dont think US will bomb afghanistan because that country is already destroyed by the fanatic islamic armed movements. their alredy in stone age. I think it will be a military campaign destined to attack several key locations on several different coutries crucial to terrorist movements Like lybia or syria Iraq or even iran though some limited action in afeghan secret location might be taken.
I wouldnt say 'kill'em all' to the nation where the terrorits came from, because by doing so we will become as evil as they are.
But I wont fell much sorry when some cruise missiles go off on the terrorits or thei supporters faces. Some of my compatriots also perished on the attacks we had a considerable number of protuguese people workind and visiting there now.

someone mentioned notroudamus - as i recall didn't he also predict world war 3 jsut after the turn of the centurary? - anyway while killing innocents in retrobution might not be the answer - the population of these countryies are far from completely innocent - i saw on the news kids celebrating the death of countless people - when they are taht badly corrupted from youth are they innocent? i'm far from sure - but those acaully responible should have a painful death as painful as is possible and as long as possible - the rest of the arab states should be cordoned off and left to rot, see how long they last with nothing being imported

Retributive murder is as obscene through it's precalculation as any terrorist attack. Infact more so because it claims to have justice on it's side, there is no such thing as "juste bellum". To say a people are evil because they haven't been privvy to the advantages that you have enjoyed is little more than foolish ignorance, death perpetuates death and the solution to senseless slaughter does not lie in retributive murder. In addition to this the fact that we are uncertain as to the perpetrators combined with the jingoism and anger displayed here not to mention the near impossibility of finding a well hidden subvertive organisation, leads me to fear that we are far from seeing the worst atrocities of this act.

You realize that tracking down and finding the terrorists is going to be next to impossible. Think about this: some rats wake up a giant, and the giant's pissed and wants to squash some rats. What do the rats do? They scatter, and the giant doesn't have an easily defined target to smack at.

This is good in a sense because there won't be another massive assault for a while, plus people will have been awakened to the real threat in the world, and we'll get our priorities straight.

Of course the terrorists being hard to track down is not a good thing either. The American Government will certainly feel the need to send a "message" to those concerned (and who can blame them?). And if the perpetrators aren't immediately to hand, they will do the next best thing - deliver an overwhelming assault on those they KNOW have supported or committed acts of terrorism in the past.

That's when the real escalation starts.

You can be certain of three things:

1.) We haven't seen the end of this.
2.) A lot of people are going to die for it.
3.) Whatever the US does, the the UK will be the first to back them.

There are a lot of dark times ahead.

Why arent the publicizing the other attacks more? The car bombing which I saw in the morning, and I was told (havent seen) that Norad was hit as well.

Here in Vancouver, Canada, we are taking in most American flights to our international airport. All flightes are cancelled for us too, and we have thousands, just thousands of Americans coming in right now.

Those videos.....a guy running holding his camera facing backwards recording. Or the buildings collapsing and people going crazy....or the plane its self going in.

This will change our lives forever....something we look back at and tell our children, or for some of you, grandchildren....."I remember when I was in college, and America was first attacked..." and stuff.

Who says this is the end? Security is beefed up a bit, so what? Have you seen the international news? All tanks and troops have been mobilized in the East and more bombings over there.

That Nostradamus quote is bogus. It was made about 2 years after his death. Thats not even considering that only 1/1000 of his predictions come tru, and the ones that do can be taken in so many different ways you could apply them to anything...
And I shudder if New York is the City of God...

By now everythings died down. THe fighting in Afghan has even stopped, and thats only assuming they were the ones.

No one knows who did it, or what will happen next. The events today could have been a hell of a lot worse. What if chemical weapons had been smuggled on the planes?

I hope we catch whoever did this.. and they are punished, but not out of rage. Justice must be what is served, if not we are no better. Someone mentioned nuking, I know this term is used loosely but what would we be if we nuked the country the terrorists came from... we would be worse than them.

If you check my ID you'll see I'm not from the US, but I use me. I have a lot of friends in the US, some where near the WTC when it was attacked. Terrorism is a world wide problem, and we gotta face it together.

Whatever happens with this, the UK'll be there. We may not be as affected, but we are bloody well pissed off.

CBS News just announced (10:45 PM local time) that police have arrested 2 men in a truck full of explosives who were planning to blow up the George Washington Bridge (it connects Manhattan with New Jersey). They didn't make it clear what time the arrests took place but it was obviously after the WTC attacks because the men were caught due to the high state of terrorism alert.

No one is publically talking about the numbers of possible deaths in the WTC attack but the Mayor did say that there are around 50,000 people who work in the WTC. I also heard that they can get up to 110,000 visitors a day.

Just found a little info out: estimated death toll at the Pentagon alone is hovering around 800, presumably buried in the rubble. Now the wierd thing is around the WTC they aren't finding that many corpses (or parts thereof). More than likely they were incinerated by the flames, since it got hot enough to melt the steel infrastructure...

well, I know you need someone to blame, but it appears the one's who pulled this off, are dead...they were in the airplane. Maybe the mastermind or whetever is alive, ...I doubt it.

As for Palestinians and the Taliban, they usually let everyone know when its their work and they're proud of it... no-one is talking responsibility for this...

It might even be some crazy U.S. resident Cult, like the ex-army guy who blew up that building recently and they executed him.

and I agree with the "find out WHO is responsible and make THEM pay"

this is truely a terrible loss.

They aren't finding bodies because they really can't get in and look. The fire is still burning. It is still extremely hot.

Quite tragic.



As for who did this, it's already fairly obvious. Bin Ladin. There are already people being tracked down and arrested in Florida with ties to him and to the people on the plane.

Massachusets people have found 5 arabs connected to it. They have arabic material dealing with flight controls and flying.


As for claiming responsibility, Bin Ladin never does. He has never done so after his terrorism. He does give warnings though, and he gave one a few weeks ago.



I hope we can find him. He really is a danger to the entire civilized world. He hates all 'infidels'

With the part of tracking down who ever has done several countries would help, i know the Uk is already helping with MI5 and MI6 and i'm sure france and germany will help as well cos it's in their mutual interest.
During an interview Tony Blair (UK Priminister) virtually said he will help americaget justice. All over europe important buildings were evacuated and airplanes diverted away from major cities.
If the bombing has done anythink it has convinced America and Europe will try to kill all terorists and i'm sure put sanctions on countries like afganistan and similar countries as well as bombing some.


The only grateful thing it that they chose a not so busy time to attack. They think there were ten thousand in, but at the busiest time around 100,000

I never realized that I would be saying this one day. I've always been a peaceful young man.

These actions which occured in United States of America must be dealt with. Whoever did these terrorist attacks must pay dearly.

Casualties are much more than what Finland lost during the five years of war against the Soviet Union. Yesterday and this day are very sad to the global peace, since I afraid the worst. The possibility of World War III...

I heard about the news when my neighbour came visiting me. I first thought it was a joke but then I went looking the news and there was this whole situation. My god... that was horrible. When U.S.A will find the people responsible for this slaughter. I just hope that they give them what they deserve...

But now... my thoughts are with those who lost family members and relatives in this disastrous act.
