AoG balances for gameplay, much like we do.

Our basic Nova table will not have beam weapons attached. Later on when we release the Omega, and the Midwinter, you can equip a Nova in a mission however you want to.

Even if your right that still leaves AOG who jms says have canon athourity.

And even so what makes you think they don't have beams? There is no canon source apart from AOG that give the arment for a Nova. So I don't know where people are getting the idea that they don't.

JMS was never one to tinker with technobable anyways, but what AoG has is his blessing. JMS was involved with both AoG and ITF's attempts at the Dilgar ships and yet both have produced totally dissimilar vessels.

The understanding of myself is that beams were uncommon and probably not available to the Earth Alliance until they bought weapons from the Narn. There was also discussion of a prototype or limited use beam on a few ships which I can accept.

In any case, until the Omega class, X-Ray Laser/Particle Beam weapons were not widly used. Later they were adapted to the Hyperion design in the shape of the Midwinter class.

The demo will not ship with that particular beam for EA ships, but our EA pack will.
