That's questionable. Torpedoes can be shot down and are limited in number.

Just a thought-
The Shivans have existed for thousands of years- they destroyed the Ancients, and those that came before the Ancients. ("Like the seven cities of Troy, each civilization built on the ruins of the last..." -Bosch.) I think it is probable that somehow the Shivans were monitoring Terran-Vasudan advances and adapting them to their own weapons. Case in point- no Shivan slash weapons, perhaps considered too weak. Sathanas BFReds- an advancement of the Colossus BFGreen beam technology? And the most intriguing evidence- doesn't the SFR Mephisto look like an Ancient freighter? Could the obviously non-Shivan Asmodeus be another freighter design from an even older civilization? Who knows. I think that the Shivans have had to adapt to their enemies, just as the Terrans and Vasudans have.

Oh, and one more thing- if there has been no contact with Earth for the past 32 years, how the heck did they get footage of the Lucifer exploding when jumping out of subspace, FROM THE SOL SIDE OF THE NODE??

Or a computer generated image of how it might look...

BTW, if your adaptation theory were correct, might we see that Bosch's legacy would be Terran-Shivan hybrid clones? I've often wondered how cool those things would be. You could even just take Terran ships, modify them and retexture them like The Beast were done in HW Cataclysm.

or like the Omega-X destroyers in bab5

but I dont want that to happen would take away the mysticism of the Shivans

but its perfectly reasonable that Terrans might start to unravel Shivan ship design and implenting them on Terran ships..

but please no Human Shivan clones/ Hybrids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got Torps from the Wingcommander movie and starlancer. Torps may be limited in number but, they sure as hell pack a hellova punch. Can it be done so the ship thats hit is disabled for a few seconds or so(or alot more) because of the force of the impact and any possible EMP effects.

It would be much better to do torps as an individual ship and tell them to kamakaze attack, as then you can decide what they target more accurately, launch them in groups, and do so much more with them than just make them a turret-fired bomb.

Its just a running gag, i like to do that whenever someone uses yall.

so, how is texas right now? its raining pretty much several times a day here as we get within 3 months of the start of the rainy season.

as for the torps. forget'em, i want to see some big, old-fasioned captital ship missiles, the ones that are 50 meters long and will either completely or come really close to taking out a fenris.
