If I didn't missed any pics, I haven't seen Wingnut's model, so I can't say which one.

Wingnut's meshes are definately not useless. You can't find better reference material from anywhere, not to mention you can fix almost all of them without bigger problems.

then wich one am I thinking of, I thought it was yours that had all the little boxes and the arm like things on the fron rotating section as seperat objects, and I don't mean after convertion, I mean that if you hit the decompose button it will give a lot of objects, if it wasn't yours than what was I smoking? It was obviusly prety good stuf to mess me up that bad, mabe it was wingnut's model, he's always been a multable object nut.

Not at all. I've been very impressed with all Wingnut's models. All of them. They may not have been built with conversion in mind and using nice round numbers, but where accuracy and polygon efficency are concerned they're really very good.
Everyone needs should appreciate that there's little to choose between his B5 model and mine. Both models have had a lot of time lavished on them, and it's not really a complicated model.
There is certainly small part of the front superstructure which is better on Wingnut's model. There are some other parts I feel are better on mine. I'd like other people to be able to have a look at both models and give me their opinions. Believe it or not (probably not) I'm less interested in pimping my personal work than I am in us getting the best possible model into the game.

Oops!
(Ian has just downloaded his B5 Alpha 2 archive from his web site and realised it's an unassembled version)
Okay so yeah. You're right. Happy now! . Yeah the version on the net is composed of about 9 million sub-objects. The version I have at home boolean joins from those into three sub-objects. [b]Three[b] I tell-ya! .
Sorry dude.
I'll improve the bits where Wingnut's model is better and slap on some textures while I'm at it.

Two questions:
1.) Is that B5 model up there to scale?
2.) Is there gonna be a major slowdown whenever that thing is on screen?

1) Not sure. It will be.
2) If the Colossus slows down your computer...yes.

The model isnt to scale (its about the size of a sobek class at the moment, length wise)
but i had the whole model on screen without any problems at all.....but i do have a fairly good PC.....i still recommend a 500+ to run the mod, if you want it to look good, however the lower lods are looking rather tasty...so people with lower systems shouldnt worry too much

The version I put on-line wasn't.

No more than when the Collosus is on screen. Read: a tiny little bit on my outdated ATI Rage Pro Turbo x2, but not enough to affect the playability of the game.

Saying the B5 project is centered on this station, THIS @^$@%^@ ARGUMENT SHOULD BE CLEARED UP!!!!!
Here is what I propose (everyone stuff your pride and/or Ego's somewhere else for now)
1. Have ALL current B5 modles avalible for testing in FS2
2. Have anyone who wants to Test them sign up somewhere
3. Have people reply about what is good AND bad about each modle
4. Take the best parts for each modle and make the ultmate B5 modle
5. Give creadit to each person for their part(s)

No....you will cope with 200-300Mhz processor just fine. It's the graphics card and the memory you have that matters.

How much slower does the mod currently run than FS2?

It doesn't...not right now. In the end memory requirements might be slightly higher and our models are a little higher in polys so there are going to be some perhaps minor decreases in speed, but it should perform for the most part as it has.
Alex Folker, we've already cleared the argument. Read more carefully. IPAndrews model is it.
