The Knossos is ancient tech. Dr. Hargrove said that...there is no dispute on that.

There is some seriously flawed logic in having the Shivans blow up Capella to build a fleet of immense size. Why? They ALREADY have 80 juggernaughts, each capable of defeating entire GTVA fleets. If the Shivans were REALLY interested in destroying us, they would have. We were a secondary priority, or maybe not even a priority a'tall. Blowing up Capella is undoubtedly part of an overall scheme of cosmic proportions.

Bosch opening the Knossos portal in Gamma Draconis obviously brought the Shivans in contact with the Terrans and Vasudans sooner than predicted. That means that the overall plans of the Shivans were somehow modified. The rest is speculation.

Look guys, just read this, we pretty much already ruled out most of these ideas.

Plus it's a wee p1mp for my topic!

P1MP!

The remaining juggernaughts were also the ones that still had a green glow even after the star started going supernova. Which means they were using their remaining energy to keep some sort of subspace rift open.

i never thot about that. those juggernaughts were left behide to keep a subspace portal open to let the other get out before the sun went. so i guess the shivan open a subspace node or something in the middle of the sun and that what caused it to go supernova just anther thot in my head heheheh

i wonder why they were in a friggin hurry. could they have been running from some other race more powerfully then them like the ancents did when the shivans came. if my ideia is right that means that the GTVA is tosted hehehehe that would explain why the juggernots left the GTVA fleet alone when they enterd the system and went to the caplla sun. but what about the first one mybe the first one was sent to clear the path for the rest of them. just anther thot in my big head

When we first attack never had we been defeated, they were like the others hides fighting but they were not like the others they could not be killed we made or first retreat we could forgo one system we left it for the destroys and went elsware for a long time we did not now why they folled use. I WONDER HOW MUCH I GOT RIGHT ALL THAT WAS OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD HEHEHE

The exact strategy for the first juggernaught is kind of unknown.

I don't know if the speed that the Shivans moved after they captured Bosch means anything either.

My beliefs on the Shivan's destruction of the Capella star is that due to the shifting of mass required to cause the star to go nova, the Shivans were reconfiguring the natural sub-space nodes witin that region of space.

This is not to create a "new node to Sol" or to attack GTVA space.

The Shivans are trying to get some where in a hurry, and it was the simplest solution.

I am more than quite certain they are not "on the run" from a "more advanced species."

Their descision to destroy Capella, to form new natural nodes to a different destination, is tied with something much larger than Bosch.

Its most likely not a race more advanced than the Shivans. The Shivans are extremely advanced and to add to that, the full extent of their territory is unknown. So they have virtually limitless resources across hundreds of star systems.

No, I think they were rushing to deal with something more elemental than just another species.

Remember, Dave Baranec said, if there was a FreeSpace 3, we'd learn that the Shivans were only part of a much larger problem.

I wish they would make an add-on which could end this enigma, with a patch for fighter beams

But seriously, This game has the strongest fanbase out there, and they don't even want to make another sequal...

Sad how lesser things get prioritized...
