Yes it is! It's profile in the tech database says that it shares a lot of design similarities with the Ulysses. That's why it ownz everything else!

The Thoth has a lack of shields however but yes its quite a good ship back in the day.

Now its not quite so good.

What makes you think it isn't so good anymore? It can easily hold its own in FS2; I used it in Argonautica, and I didn't take much damage. It's quick, and it has massive firepower for its size. You are right that its shields are a bit weak, but if you're a good pilot, then that's not a problem. I preferred in to the Ulysses in FS1 because its missile bank was twice as big, and it had a four-gun mount, as opposed to the Ulysses having two two-gun mounts. Make sense?
