Yes, the new version seems to work fine
Exept that it causes severe slowdown in my system which makes playing experience little less enjoyable...
What is certain is that the newest version caused it. I'll see if I can trace the problem tomorrow. Unless, ofcourse, some Vorlon overthere can bless me with a explanation...

I just downloaded the new version in hopes that it woudl rep[air this problem however it didn't. I did everything that you should when you install one of these patches, started a new pilot, heck I even reinstalled the game. This error happens right after I click "accept" in the command briefing. It causes a critical error that kicks me back to the desktop and closes the game.

My system specs are:

Windows XP Home
Via 1 Giga Pro Processor at 1 Ghz ( FS2 only read 666 Mhz of it though)
256 Mb's of RAM
GeForce 2 MX/MX400 w/ 64 MB's of VRAM
32x CD-R/DVD-ROM

I have the debug spew saved but it says the message is too long when I try to put it up here so which part of the spew do I need to show you?

As for the proccessor, well, its just what came with the comp. Its actual name its a VIA Samuel 2, its built into the motherboard, and I fully intend to replace it at the first possible opprotunity.
