Anybody figure out the monkey puzzle on miradans pass? Well all i know is that you got to place the monkey in certain locations like next to the fire or the pond. You also have to feed him nuts .. there are certain nuts that do different things .. there are Nut , Bitter Nut and Sweet Nut. The monkey will clap and do various things .. but what im getting at is that if you do the monkey thing correct he will show you a secret place thats by the bridge when you hear the monkey creature making a noise and then you see at the bottom by the water there is a cave with bunch of junk in it. anybody figure it out please let us know. thx.

I noticed you could shoot the Crossbow at that puzzle right at the monkey. Can't figure out how to actually do that puzzle correctly, though.

I've screwed around with the monkey thing a bit too and can't figure it out.

Found this on the GameFAQs message boards (shoot each sequence with the crossbow through first person mode):

first section: red, yellow, blue
second section: orange, green, yellow, red
third section: blue, orange, red, yellow, green

Sweet that will help out ... I found a few more things out too. If you go by a this platform and search you will find a Wardstone in Miradan. You can use this Wardstone in the basement of the prison of Indubal. You will have to find an area that looks like a incomplete prison cell and then search the area to see that there is a wet moist patch of earth ... you will first have to find some seeds which I havent found yet but then after that you can use the wardstone.

I stuck this thread as it might be helpful to others.

If you complete the puzzle, you get 15,000 XP and a Summoner Ring (+1 to Summon). The 15,000 XP gives everyone like 2 more levels at that stage in the game.

I found another clue for the monkey puzzle ... when your crossing the bridge in miradan by the waterfall you hear this monkey sound and your control vibrates. thats a "ghost monkey" pay attention to this ..ghost monkies are only found in Halassar. When you goto the city of Munari you will come across a trader at the marketplace who lost all of this wares ..which were Ghost Monkies and he gives you a "monkey trap" to capture the ghost monkies with. Under the description of the monkey trap it says you will hear a monkey sound and a slight vibration ... !!! just like the one back in Miradan!. Hope this might help some of you but I still havent been able to figure out that monkey puzzle.

Yeah.. I have the Monkey trap and caught 3 monkeys in Munari City. However, I went back to Miridian and couldn't capture that one on the bridge for whatever reason. Maybe it's not on the bridge but in the water below, or something. No idea.

Hopefully you haven't wasted too much time trying to catch the one in miridan's pass. All 4 ghost monkeys that you need to capture are in the munari city market and docks... 2 in the market, 2 in the docks. I don't know if they move around or not.

I have heard one monkey at Miridan's pass, so perhaps they do move around. I would like more info on the seed planting in the depths of the prison Inabul, I found the spot, but could'nt do anything!

All I can say is if you don't know what to do as far as the seeds you aren't far enough into the game, when you are you will know what to do

I am waiting a bit before I try to solve that monkey puzzle I've only found 3 in Munari City, I honestly think the 4th is the one you have been talking about in Meridian, I think you have to just keep feeding that monkey the "right" nuts and he will "grow" to like you and then when he shows you how to get to the cave you can capture the ghost monkey.

No. Someone posted on GameFAQs that all 4 are in Munari City (2 in each district). I think the one that I might've missed is in the house that your first start the level in. (one of the Mas guys.. I think it was Ora).

It is Mas Raldo I think (but don't quote me on it), anyway, it is the very first house you start out in the first time you enter Munari city. Just snoop around his house you will find it eventually.

After you get all 4 talk to the guy, then guy to Meridian Pass you'll see some pochers there who say "run" or something, but chase them (it's a pain because your companions always want to stay and fight the damned trees instead of following you) and don't lose them. Eventually they will lead you to their hideout and another ghost monkey cage. Release both at the bridge spot where you hear the other monkey.

As for the nut creature, well I'll cut and paste from a post at gamefaqs.com message board:

"basically you need to feed him enough so that he's joyful and happy pet him sometimes and play with him sometimes

every sweet nut you give him raises his defense and health
every nut you give him raises his health
every bitter nut you give him raises his offense and health (however i wouldn't feed him more than 5 or so lest he might get angry with you later)

nuts also give other bonuses but those are the major ones every nut also slightly increases his other stats

stick him near the fire to increase his fire resisance and near the pond to increase his cold resistance but don't leave him to long or he'll start to hate you (personally i wouldn't bother with either as its not necessary)"

I have been on every stretch of Munari that I can fanthom, I have only found 3 ghost monkeys, I already had the ghost monkey near Mas Raldo's bed, the one near the first temple, and the temple by Mas (I don't wanna give a license out guy) so where is the 4th at? And do I just have to get like 30 nuts or something to plump that mofo up enough to grow?

Well as for the nuts there is no real easy way to get them other than killing tree sentinals found in Miranda and a few other places. But thats kinda depressing to hear about that monkey .. I was hoping that It would lead you to the treasure under the bridge .. and building up its stats is a tad useless you'd think if you wouldnt be able to use him. Must be like a Sim Pet side game or something heh.

the only way to do the monkey quest is to get the three monkeys in munari city then after youve captured them then take them to the bridge in miridian pass and use the monkey trap this releases them back into their habitat and they give you the wyrms tooth which you have to use in one of the wyrm quests. also about the pet you just have to keep him happy whenever you go to miridians pass then after a while when you go back he will be fully grown and you will find him in a cave by where he was. you get the drawing of 1 back there and the pet joins your party.

by the way what orange said about the 15,000 experience is wrong along with the summon ring because you just get 6000 experience and the wyrm tooth like i said before

what are the drawings for, I have the drawing of 3 and the drawing of 2, I suspect the drawing of 1 is the completion of all the drawings, but I haven't seen a quest for that, and has anyone figured out how to complete the quest with the madwoman in Indubal

The drawings appear to be answers to various puzzles... I had the drawing of 1, it was the answer to the bridge puzzle in miridans pass, to get to the white lady. I've now got the drawing of 3, but no use for it yet... missed the drawing of 2 somewhere, I imagine.

Orange was right. The puzzle he talking about is for the white lady. The drawing is the order of the colors you hit for the bridge to come up to kiss the white lady hem. The rest of the sequence or (drawing two) has been spoken for by mike.
