Its likely that will be the way it is.
1) Its easier to develop for one platform rather than two.
2) PS2 games sell more units because of less saturation of these types of games in the console market. RF PC didn't sell that well because theres plenty of other FPS' on the market....

why is the MOds Discussion named "Red Faction 1/2 MODs Discussion"

I dont design games, but I imagine it is easier like you say. However, good thing atari didn't have the samje thoughts as you, or we would all still be playing PONG . The fact that RF did not sell very many untis may have been from the lack of info fed to the community. I think that RF has a strong sales potential over the other FP shooters due to its Geo Mod Tech. I understand there are alot of them out there, but with the mods and further releases HL has managed to stay up there along with many other older games like UR, and Q. If the right marketing were pushed along with feed back and support, I feel RF would push its way to the top of the market. You can see its popularity in the console version, PC's make a huge part of the gaming market. Thats like a boat maker only making boats for streams and say forget about the lakes there are enough boats already. The fact is, there will always be a leader, and if no one steps forward to attempt to take the lead exp. SOF2, the same leaders will always be there.
