I wrote an email to Interplay on our behalf, after noticing their behavior. It's quite formal, asking for an investigation due to the tremendous impact this poll is having on the communities. Then I directed them to VW, HLP, Planet Descent and the DBB, and their respective forums. (Yes, I did note that HLP was temporarily down.) Hopefully they will take some action...

Be honorable, guys. They're blasting us, slandering our game, cheating and generally being immature. But we shall overcome.

personally i dun like the freespace series compaired to the descent series.. so i believe that poll is corrent :P

but thats my own opinion so dun flame me cause ya think some thing is better.. cause i dun care..

I'm skeptical about the whole reason why they're even doing this ... they own the license, but the developers of the original games are owned by THQ?! I think they're just trying to generate some press ... an FS3 or D4 developed by some studio that didn't originate from Parallax just wouldn't be right, IMHO.

well, so we won already:

worst case - D4 gets produced by some unknown developer and will be the next tunnelshooter in a long row of originals and clones, cool! I for sure don't care for a crappy FS3 NOT from Volition

best case - no harm done and the FS license gets cheaper
