Given that the Omega and Omega-X textures and tables are basically complete, what remains to be done before the first part of Release 2 (i.e. not 2.1) can be released?
Also, how goes the work on texturing B5, it looked good last time I saw but was by no means near completion.

B5 will make it for 2.1 probably. Lets see...what remains to be done.
Some minor fixes to the Asimov, completing the LODs of the Omega, the new Main Hall which I will be doing in the early New Year. HOPEFULLY some kind of interface stuff for the ships and weapons. Unfortunately, that seems to be really difficult work for me...so maybe someone else will have to pick up on that (I'm being stretched in too many directions actually - modeling, texturing, interface art, mission design, table balancing, etc.). And we're polishing off some missions too. Going to be about 8 single missions for everyone to play. No campaign, but Skullar's big giant huge amazing thing will eventually be done so that will be the mission focus after R2.

It seems that it will be at least one month and maybe/probably more depending on how things progress.

Month is quite short time to wait, at least when you have waited it a long time before
I probably wont even notice how time flows

Even if that were technically possible I wouldn't want them to as it would dilute the fun at seeing a complete new release. I mean come on, they are already breaking Release 2 into two parts just so they can get the majority of the complete stuff released and into the anxious hands of the gamers (i.e. us).

Too many changes between 1.1 and 2.0. Not worth it.

With the release of the source code (or coming release) for FS2, does this mean that the Vorlon Planet killer will be included in any of the release? (with modifications since I last checked they had problems porting it into the game due to its size) I am really sorry if I'm bringing up a topic that was already discussed before. I finally got my internet back....dont ask. Flame away if u feel inclined.
Anyone interested (and if no one has mentioned it already) fans of space sims/b5 mods should really check out Independence War 2 EOC's Buda 5 mod's progress.
http://mods.firstones.com/buda5/iwar2/index.html
Not only are the ship conversions incredible, but the physics are truer to the show. Although I have to admitt (being more loyal to FS2) the action isn't as intense. (alot slower too) Nice teaser till FS2's next release.
