While I'm interested, it could just be a typo, or it could be IGN assuming something that's not certain yet.
Still, interesting. Maybe whoever wrote that article is trying to hint to THQ...you never know.

Um if V/Thq hasnt gotten the hint by now.....I think not even a kick in the balls, an atomic wedge and graffiting the entire building in which they work with RF2 for PC will get it through their head.
In most peoples minds RF is either the GREATEST FPS they've played or the only one they want to play. Personally If there is no rf2 for pc i will be the last rf1 player. Its the perfect balance from the slowness of realism aka SOF2 and such and crazy comedy speed UT/Quake. Plus Geomod when used properly can really make or break a good CTF game.
Flat out RF is the only shooter to hold my attention longer then say 3 months and the last game that did that was Quake. Quake 1 that is, mostly for the NIN music...
Nywaze I think V/THQ could make alot if they A)advertised B)fixed the massive cheating and even the speculation of cheating which IMHO is far worse then A.
Honestly if cheating didnt get as bad as it did I honestly think we would still have at least twice the number of dedicaed players and servers we do now.
Im not saying a game has to be perfect. Just add an anticheat or something or do whut 1.3 did and lock the freaking files ;P Or just take the entire mod section out as with rf1 it was kind of a joke. Im getting long winded so I must say 3 things
1)RF2 for PC I will be purchasing IF I hear of any anti cheat in multi(as I stil havent started single player)
2)RF I would rate as the best netcode EVER!!!Sure a 90 ping will always have an advantage over 300 but @least 300 can compete with the 90 unlike alot of other games where over 150 you are a glorifed post
3)Either an autodownloader for maps or allow a server to message people w/o them on where to get them. that and the ability to make skins
The book is done
RF2 FOR PC!!!You already have alot of dedicated RF players. Just think of what some advertising may have done

I agree with pretty much everything Croc said
RF netcode rocks I can actually play on my 56k and win
quote: from ign.com
Slated to play the part of Molov (an Army of the Commonwealth Commander), Henriksen will play a significant part in the storyline of the game. Red Faction II is due out on store shelves, exclusively for the PC and PS2 this winter.
That would be on my Christmas list, unless it came out earlier, then it's be on my birthday list

I hope that it does come out on PC because that would be tough...
Surely they realise that by noit releasing it for PC that they are cutting half their market.

Whippi-duidaa!
I hope that news clip is correct. I for one has been waiting for an announcement that RF2 is coming to PC.
Red Faction is one of the best FPS I have played after Half-Life and the sequel looks like to beat it in every area.
Please Volition, you are our only hope.

As long as they changed the right things as opposed to nothing(*Cough*UT*Cough)
1 thing that must never change is the game speed. It was the happy medium between comedic speed and "realism"

That article is old news. It came out mid-August. We've been through this discussion already.

Wrong. PS2 sales were head and shoulders above PC sales. So it's most definitely not half the market. Plus, the profit per unit is probably lower on PC, mostly because of the extra development time and QA testing PC versions require.

In the UK;
(Red Faction)
PS2 sales; 200,000
Pc sales; 27,500
(from; PC gamer magazine - an article about games success / failure stories. As point of reference, the top Pc game was the Sims(750,000), then Half Life (470,000), then Worms (447,000). Neither Fs2 or summoner were in the success / flop lists, although that could be put down to their age)
I don't think a PC rf2 release would make much sense... it's a smaller market than the Ps2 due to verying hardware requirements, and it's already VASTLY over congested with FPS', both those planned and already released.

Well, I clicked on your link, and got this:

I'd have to say you're wrong, then.

Here, among other places. Probably the VBB before it closed. This really is old news. Nowhere has there been any official indication of RF2 PC - just a bunch of misquotes, rumors, and overanalysis.
As a related side-note, when did Rockstar announce GTA3 PC, relative to GTA3 PS2's release date?

Translation: RF2, why not, they make enough money out of it, if they would make a regular patch update for RF2 there wont be any modders.
