Wasn't it almost out weeks ago?

No seriously...we heard 2-3 weeks was the best guess and then not. These developer people need to learn what I already know. Don't give dates unless your sure

I have to admit that, despite the constant ridicule it receives, I'm a fan of 3DReams approach to release dates: 'When it's ready'

If more developers (and this doesn't apply solely to games developers, Microsoft could do well to adopt this kind of policy) said to hell with release dates and just released stuff when its ready games (not to mention applications and operating systems) wouldn't be rushed to market and then require endless patching.

Of course, if they did that, it'd be five years between sequels...

Not only is it out, it's AWESOME.
It plays clean, fast, and furious. Just the way it should be.

Very nice....very nice. Not as visually splendid as I was initially expecting until I realized two things: 1) I couldn't run those details if I wanted 2) the demo has limited texture sizes VS the final product.

Impressive all around!

yeah, they cut down on a few things for the demo cause of size restrictions.. but still looks awesome..

Yeah, the textures in the full game are two times the size of the best you'll get out of the demo. That didn't make a difference with that cool water effect you see in that one DM level.

Great Zombie Jesus, this game is already putting my GF4 to it's max. Which doesn't seem right, but, whatever.

Thumbs down

Meh. It seems to me like they made Quake 3 better looking and stamped the Unreal name to it.

I agree, something just didn't feel right about UT2k3...too Quakey like Dynamo said.

And my GF4 does have that horrible chug factor, but it may have more to do with my having a 700mhz proc...

If you have a GeForce4 Ti then ur CPU is definatly the bottleneck.
My AMD XP 1700+ (1.47Ghz) is even slow for my Ti4600.

IMHO, the scale of UT2003 is just "off". The players are way too small, and the maps are way to big.

Bombing Run is pretty sweet.....but it's a diversion, not an addiction.
