@ all : The organisation of TBP :
This is the current organisation of the Babylon project :
TBP consists of 2 great Divisions :
1. The 4 teams for the TOTAL CONVERSION who can work independently from each other :
- FLIGHT team ( everything that has to do with the simulator )
- INTERFACE team
- Music team
- Communications team
2. Of the CAMPAIGN teams who make campaigns for the TBP.

So , whereever you work , always stay in close contact to the subject leader ( red name in white box ) AND the team leader ( red name in ugly colored circle )
So , you wanna help texturing ? Talk to Eternal One. Wanna make campaigns ? Make a script . Wanna set up campaign missions ? Talk to scriptwriter . Wanna give speech to the mod ? Talk to Skullar or Blacksheep.
NOTES : The organizational structure is for aspects of COORDINATION , actually we discuss everything and EVERYONE is a respected member . This way we just delegated authority coz IceFire can't organize the whole TBP on his own.

So, if you SOMEHOW feel to help the Babylon Project you should get the tools first.
1. Look here :

Get the FREESPACE KIT and the DLL pack.
Most important is VP-view in the Kit , for it lets you take a close look at the stuff contained in FS2.
You should look at the schematics above. You know what your skills are. There you can decide WHAT you wanna do for the mod.
If you wanna texture you should have some knowledge with paint programs like PSP. Talk to the team for texturer tools and talk to Eternal One .
Or do you have experience with GOLDWAVE or COOLEDIT or other sound software ? Then you should ask Blacksheep or Seether .
Or do you have excessive knowledge of the B5 timeline and wanna make a whole campaign ? Then it is scriptwriting for you !
Or you are a FRED2-specialist ? Maybe you can join one of the upcoming campaign teams.
Whatever it will be , you can talk to the team at any time .
Best is if you already know HOW you wanna help and what you wanna do. It is difficult to enlist people who come with a "wanna help you somehow" or with a "wanna betatest for you"
Well , I hope I managed to show you how TBP is organized .
So , get the Kit , get additional tools and get yourself "INTO THE FIRE"

Hmm I thought capt White was also at texturing why hes not 'officialy' at texturing?
I might start texturing this week. I finaly found how to texture each face with a single map. I already gave that omega a better look.
Wich models are avaiable for texturing that no one has picked yet?
Is it required for the texturer to be also the author of the textures? I'm a lowsy artist. I'll probably need some done textures at the time I begin texturing.

this is how a model does though the ropes
tomcat makes it
et1 checks it
tomcat corrects it
et1 finalises it and gives it the thumbs up
last stage is normally done just before we texture the ship...it was the case with tinashi and olympus
the diagram refers to leaders in that field. i can help with texturing problems but i dont have the final word on textures. you couldnt say "is this ok" to me....i would refer you to et1 
edit: i normally get textures from rendors of high poly models then edit them to suit the model 
btw max texture res for freespace 2 is 256x256. we are now 95% certain. refer to the internal forum for more details on our plans.

Ho ho I'm practicing texturing per face on the omega only this time I'm using textures of fotographic quality, After that I'll show it (its lookin freaking mean! ) AND ask ET1 for real MOD texturing. it should be still this week.
