Those are the Valve player models. They needed to be adjusted to be suitable for a retail game. The current models, although we may like them, have many flaws and the newer ones are higher in quality anyways! So quit bitching!

Actually, yeah OK. I was in a bad mood when I posted and kinda just jumped on the bandwagon - I upgraded to CS 1.0 last night & it's ok actually - but I still dont like the new player models (apart from the new VIP) I'll be changing to customs ones as soon as some new ones are released (and in the meantime the original ones will be re-skineed for clan use)

The weapons, the player models, and the redesigned maps are good, but I still think it IS slower than b7.1. I was playing it solo earlier, just running around some of the maps, and the speed was terrible. Is it cause the graphics detail is enhanced, or something like that?

bah, I still play on a 56k & it sucks
But I rock when I play on LAN

I like it overall. I even like the new models and skins, but the animations are unspeakably horrible. Volition really ought to lend out Tim Borelli or someone to help them with that.
