Does mission simulator work in TBP??

I am trying to run scenarios in the mission simulator under the technical section of the main page but when I try to load a ship I get only the starfury to choose from, when I try to arm it with weapons I do not get any to choose from. the left side of the screen where the scroll arrows are located are blank. If I try to commit and fly the mission I get a screen telling me that no weapons have been selected. And yes I do have the babylon project campaign selected. Is this part of the game not available in TBP??

If mission is made for original FS2 or any of it's mods, it won't work with TBP. TBP is total conversion, that means there is no actual FS2 game content left, this means stuff like ships and weapons.

Of course you can get FS2 back pretty easily, just rename data folder and create a new pilot.

In FRED2 hit Shift+N. This will open up the Loadout Editor where you can select what ships/weapons you want to make available in the mission. This should fix your problem.

You can also specify an individual ship's loadout in the Ships Editor (Shift+S).

the original TBP files came with only the mod and the campaign... no single missions for the simulator...

single/small missions can be downloaded from fan-websites.. I know TBP team hosted them somewhere, if they'll point you to it...

At the moment, I don't think any website has been set up to host TBP single missions. In reality, quite a few have been released by individual authors but there's nowhere for them to be uploaded to. Most of them have to be distributed by email right now.
