This is Nick (Neo) Brown. I am proposing a new Freespace2/Star
Trek MOD project. It will be called the Alpha Quadrant Project. I have
already done 75% of the weapons, 33% of the ships and continuing to change
the interface and sounds to match Star Trek's Starfleet LCARS interface.

Here is what I propose:

Alpha Quadrant Project
Based in the StarTrek universe created by the late Gene Roddenberry.
Year - 2401 (15 years after the end of the Dominion/Alpha Quadrant Alliance
War)

1. Using the existing Freespace ship models, I will change dozens of skins
match the Star Trek universe for StarFleet, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star
Empire, Feringi Alliance, Borg and many other Star Trek empires including a
few new ones.

2. I will create Star Trek weapons. For example Type-XII Phaser Array,
Photon Torpedo, Quantum Torpedo, Disrupter, Disrupter Beam, Romulan Plasma
Cannon, Phaser Pulse Cannon (Defiant), Borg Tractor Array and several new
Star Trek weapons for the new Empires such as the Neutronic Pulse, plus
many, many more. They will all have the proper Star Trek sounds for each and
every weapon.

3. A rework of the Freespace2 Interface to look like Star Trek's Starfleet
LCARS Interface along with the corrisponding sounds/music.

4. Possibly (but not for sure) a small campaign to simulate the voyages of
the Federation Starship USS Odyssey NCC-71832-B. Featuring the
Klingon/Romulan cloaking device, better capital ship combat, encounter the
relentless Borg, deal with new aliens, prevent Romulan covert spies and
negociate diplomatic relations with new empires.

There's something else that I'm sure I'm missing, but oh well.
