State of the BlackWater Union

Ok...quickie update! We're still working on the bloody thing...five bazillion years later and at least two educational institutions later (and god knows how much staff) and we're still working on it.

Even after all this time...BWO is the only campaign to feature a wickedly awesome looking destroyer with big gun ever.

As it stands right now...Ace has just finished a pile of missions and created a special secret mission (not sure on its implementation - probably a special loop mission) that we'll keep our lids on for now about but its pretty cool in premise.

I've just finished off two more missions on the Episode 3 lineup (Ace took Episode 2 and I took Episode 3). I've got three left on the Episode 3 lineup and thats done. About the same for the Episode 2 lineup.

So after this semester is over...then maybe we'll have this campaign finished. Still a few things to do:

1) CB graphics (mostly just stills but Bobbau did some awesome animations too - just a few - to keep the size down).

2) A mainhall graphics set (volunteers with experience?)

3) A BlackWater Operations Music Theme done by BlackSheep. Its not done yet but its awesomely wicked. Something you'd expect from a high end video game or even a movie theme....its obviously not done by an orchestra (oh the dreems!) but BlackSheep is awesome at it anyways! Stay tuned for that too!

Indeed he is. He used to send me samples he was working on for things (don't know what) but they were top knotch.

Bug Sandwich about the mainhall, he managed to make a hallway that he envisioned being in a fenris, so he can't be so bad.

Right now, I've been running through all of the episode 2 missions. Making corrections here and there, adding events to help explain what's going on, etc.

Believe me, you're going to have a ton of fun in just the first two missions of the episode.

...plus there's a nasty surprise in my secret mission for those who dare to play it! mwuhahaha!

maybe we can nic syxx's main hall, he got our Charon after all (though one of our ships was shared from MT)

something I never mentioned, but a while back I started reconverting some of our ships with Ubber turrets, you know the big 'specal' turrets on the Sol ships, I remade them with 300 pollies a peace, and a very cool looking texture, in HTL they'll render faster than the rather uggly looking ones we have now

Uhh... I wasn't intending to start this... I was only mentioning the extreme flattery that everyone keeps giving. It's almost as bad as those n00bs on the Inferno board at HLP. I can't stand it in there... :ick:

Anyway, only three missions left before episode two is pretty much done. Sure the missions are all playable, but they need a certain amount of tweaking, more continuity added, etc.

Right on the money

To whoever asked the question...yeah its pretty much a consensus amongst the team members that all episodes will go at the same time.

Actually Episode 2 and Episode 3 take place at roughly the same time....thats where the story branches into two very different possibilities. Episode 1 is essentially finished although I must say that there is still some work to be done back in there (mostly on the CB's, briefings, and debriefing's).
