I have the HotU version, which is fine, but I also have a copy of FS2. I moved the cutscenes into their rightful slots so now the cutscenes are in there, but where on the CDs is the briefing, debriefing, and animations located? Also, how do I extract them?

Getting the files working is easier, I just need to know how to get the files -.-

To be honest if you have the FS2 CD the quickest way to deal with the problem is to uninstall the HotU version and install the retail version.

If for some reason you can't (or won't) uninstall then you should be able to get a lot of help on the HotU page of my FAQ. Instead of downloading the files you need you just need to copy them from the FS2 CD.

That said I think some of them are a little tricky to get out of the fake .cab file on CD1.

Unfortunately, my install CD broke so I can't install it the normal way.

I took the files in the FAQ and replaced the files in the fs2 folder with the real ones. However, the sound files and animations, etc. still do not function.

I just need to know how to extract those files from the larger compilations so that I can replace the individual files.

What you have to do is get a copy of VPView (See GE's VPView Tutorial). Compare the .vp with your Data drawer. Delete (or just to be safe move) any file that has a copy in the .vp. I've been told that this will make everything work perfectly.
