Just installed the release 2, but for some reason i dont have any weapons of any kind int he first mission.

Ive installed the latest patch, very confused help

Make new pilot or make sure that you selected right campaign.

It was a clean install. I had to install freespace first, then before i ran it i installed the patch, so it is a new pilot, and the campaign is selected by default, ill give it another try.

Wasn't there a problem with the campaign file?

workaround or something like that....

Try the workaround and play the missions as single missions through the tech room. There was a problem with mission 1 not being completable anyway so you're going to have to install the work around to play mission 2 anyway.
