Hud.tbl?

the hud (or hub) .tbl has a line of text in it that says something about sory theres a max of 40 and to ask some dude if i want more.

40 of what? Plus what is the Hud.tbl for? And what does it mean by ask for more?

The hud.tbl is the table file which, as the name already says, makes the hud... your interface with the bloody spacecraft.

ok would that include the icon of the ship your flying and its shields?

It would be everything Reticle, Wingmen status, escort list, time rate, directives, weapons, target view, target box, lead indicator and so on...

Actually, Hippo, all it contains is the list of all shield icons the game can use. And yes, there is a limit of 40. It reads the first 40 shield icons then ignores the rest. FS2_open has bumped this up, though.

The point is that if you have a new ship, and you want the four-shield-quadrant indicator to show up on your HUD, you need the name of that ani in here.
