I downloaded Release 2 in the form of just VP files. Is there any way to extract the .tbl files somehow? If not, could someone just copy/paste them for me, specifically the weapons.tbl. Thanks.

Normally you'd be able to go to [url=http://www.descent-network.com/descman/]Descent Network[/url] and download VPVIEW32 to extract stuff from .vp files but that part of the site seems to be down.

does anyone had problems installing the FS2 kit (VPView, ANIView, etc) on a Win XP machine... I try to install it, but it cannot create any of the folder (even when my account is admin)... Kind of odd...

ok... something odd... I just checked the C:\DMTOOLS directory and guess what... everything was there and working properly... I guess there is a problem with the installer...
