FS2 framerate limiter

Hello,

I'm new to this forum (and quite new to Freespace 2 also), but I was still hoping you could help me with the following problem. It seems FS2 is running way too fast on my new system. I have the latest patch installed and all graphical settings are maxed out.

I was wondering if there's a way to limit the frames (as the gamespeed is apparently framerate dependent -- which is a very bad thing for an otherwise almost flawless product) or lock the vsync to 60hz (maybe using that Optional Command Line?).

How fast is your system exactly? I haven't heard of anyone else having any problems and we've got a wealth of different configurations.

Are you sure you don't have time compression on?

Well, I hate to go around touting them; but since you've asked for them specifically:

P4 2.67
MSI 845PE Max mobo
1GB of PC2100
Radeon 9700 Pro

I did the full install. Nothing is overclocked. Also what is this time compression you speak of? I'll go check that out, maybe I've activated it by mistake.
